Monument to the Chicken
Map of the Monumento à galinha (Monument to the chicken), 1/100 scale, digital print, 81x81cm.

In 2009, while walking through the streets of Lisbon, I discovered a board covered in identity photos and pictures of weddings and baptisms. They belonged to the photographer Luís Soares who has been working in Lisbon for years. Next to these photos of anonymous people was a black and white one of the Monumento à galinha (Monument to the chicken). The only marks of this presence; the photo of Soares and now this map made from it.
